Union Hotel is currently recruiting for a Barista to join our Food and Beverage team!

Baristas are responsible for making premium beverages, generally hot drinks, preparing food orders, working the cash register, and cleaning and stocking the coffee shop. Baristas can complete these tasks quickly and efficiently while also making sure to form excellent customer relationships - we want you to be yourself and have fun everyday!

Key Responsibilities :

Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards :

• Prepare and serve beverages to customers, in the café (primarily over the counter)
• Provide prompt, professional and friendly service
• Professionally respond to customer inquiries
• Accurately handle cash and credit card payment, following cash-handling procedures
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of menu offerings
• Comply with fire regulations and all health and safety standards

What We are Looking for :

• Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations professionally.
• Ability to work flexible shifts (mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays) as the business needs require.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions :

• Experience in Food and Beverage department industry
• Previous experience of cash handling
• Knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations
