About Us
Wentworth Hospitality Group (Tableau Bar Bistro, Homer St. Cafe & Bar, Maxine’s Cafe & Bar) is looking for baristas for Folietta, their new Italian restaurant concept, located in Vancouver’s storied Nanaimo and Grant neighbourhood. Folietta is inspired by iconic Italian culinary regions and each dish reflects a passion for high-quality food.

We are looking for eager and engaged individuals who are passionate about next level guest experience! Position Summary

Our team delivers a specially curated and delicious food and beverage menu, in line with our next level guest experience standards. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Executing an assortment of delicious specialty beverages in a high-volume and fast-paced setting.
  2. Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies.
  3. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  4. Greet, and welcome each guest bar side and answer any questions or pass to the appropriate person(s).
  5. Understand and comply with drink standards and equipment procedures as seen in the employee manual.
  6. Proficient understanding of both our wider food and drinks offering.
  7. Eager to learn and be trained on the use of different equipment and stations.
  8. Perform accurate cash & credit handling as well as POS procedures.
  9. Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed.
  10. Maintain and ensure the overall cleanliness of assigned station(s) and establishment.
  11. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
  12. Maintain and engage in a respectful, professional, and positive workplace.

This position is part-time, Saturday and Sunday days with an opportunity to expand to full time and assume the responsibilities of a larger server assistant role.

Skills & Qualifications
  1. Experience: prior experience as a barista is a must-have.
  2. Self-motivated, organized, and ability to multi-task effectively.
  3. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, days, nights, and weekends.
  4. Must be punctual and reliable.
  5. Ability to work varied hours.
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills with guests and employees.
  7. Customer service focus and quality orientated.
  8. Adaptable and flexible.
  9. High energy level.
