Job summary

Argyle Coffee, opening in Ladner, invites friendly baristas to join our counter-service café. You’ll handle hands-on beverage prep, customer service and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Previous barista experience is an asset, but we are happy to train the right person who brings enthusiasm, reliability and a passion for hospitality. We offer day shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality espresso beverages, brewed coffee, teas and specialty drinks with consistency and care.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers and other cafe equipment safely and efficiently.
• Provide warm, attentive, customer-focused service to every guest.
• Greet customers, take orders, answer questions and offer recommendations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including regular cleaning of equipment, seating areas and workspaces.
• Manage POS transactions accurately, including cash handling, card payments and tips.
• Restock supplies, rotate inventory, and support daily opening and closing routines.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to leadership team.
• Work collaboratively with team members and maintain smooth, safe operations.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, community-driven atmosphere where guests feel welcome and valued.

Argyle Coffee is a new counter-service café opening in Ladner, built around quality, creativity and a strong sense of community. Our menu focuses on breakfast and features a mix of in‑house made food, fresh juices, smoothies and baked goods sourced through local partnerships. We’re committed to exceptional coffee, offering a high‑end espresso and brew program through a local roasting partner . We are currently hiring for full-time and part-time baristas (day shifts only).

Role Overview

As a Barista at Argyle Coffee, you’ll be the face of our cafe and a key part of creating a warm, welcoming experience for every guest. This role includes hands‑on beverage preparation, customer service and teamwork in a fast‑paced environment. Previous experience as a barista is an asset, but we’re happy to train the right person who brings enthusiasm, reliability, and a passion for hospitality.
