Job Description
Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Shift Manager, the Barback at Gordon Ramsay Steak is responsible for providing the Gordon Ramsay standard of creating a remarkable experience and exceptional hospitality. This individual manicures active tables, clears, prepares, and resets vacant tables. They work with team members to maintain the highest quality of service and hospitality while ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Assist in greeting guests warmly and escorting them to their tables as necessary.
  2. Ensure tables are clean and properly set up for service. Remove used dishes, glasses, and utensils promptly and clean tables efficiently between courses and after guests depart.
  3. Assist guests with immediate needs, such as refilling water glasses and providing additional napkins or utensils.
  4. Support servers by running food to tables, delivering non-alcoholic beverages, and assisting with guest requests.
  5. Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
  6. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including sweeping floors, wiping surfaces, and ensuring restrooms are tidy and stocked.
  7. Keep server stations stocked with necessary items such as silverware, glassware, and plates.
  8. Assist with opening and closing duties, such as setting up and breaking down tables, polishing silverware and glassware, and ensuring areas are ready for service.
  9. Work collaboratively with the entire service team to ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.
  10. Follow all health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualification Requirements
  1. Experience in a restaurant environment; fine dining experience is an asset.
  2. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. A passion for providing great experiences and memories to all guests, both external and internal.
