- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional, friendly, and proactive guest service, supporting colleagues.
- Support the Bar team by completing side duties, resetting work areas, running food orders, and taking food/beverage orders at the bar.
- Assist guests with beverage menu items in an informative and helpful manner.
- Mix drinks and manage beverage stock according to guidelines.
- Maintain full knowledge of beverage lists, promotions, menu items, and preparation methods.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic restaurant or bar is advantageous.
- Must hold a valid BC Serving It Right Certificate.
- Experience in high-volume luxury food & beverage bartending, ideally in a 4-5 Diamond AAA/CAA or Forbes 5 Star hotel, is a plus.
- A Degree or Diploma in Hotel/Hospitality or Tourism is beneficial.
- Excellent knowledge of beverage products.
- Experience with Point of Sale systems is an asset.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to focus on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.
- Highly responsible and reliable.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
