Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for preparation of foods, including washing, peeling, and slicing.
• Cleans work areas, and stores deliveries in their proper location.
• Maintain solid knowledge of all food products, sanitation standards, and all policies/ procedures and is able to skillfully apply culinary techniques.
• Operates, maintains, and cleans kitchen equipment such as deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, flat top grill, and others according to instructions.
• Assists in lowering food cost and waste, properly labels and dates all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.
• Works as a team, helping all team members to complete activities that ensure guest satisfaction.
• Performs duties in accordance with company standards, policies, and guidelines.
• Performs additional duties as requested.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a bar porter and/or bar back in a casino, high-volume nightclub, or high-volume restaurant preferred.
• Knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes required.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
• Ability to walk distances.
• Must frequently lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions

• Duties are performed in a highly regulated environment, with occasional presence on the Casino Floor to complete job functions or pass through the area. May be exposed to noise and other environmental factors.
