Concord Hospitality's Calgary team seeks a Bar & Wine Supervisor to lead daily bar operations, uphold liquor and safety standards, and deliver guest service of the highest quality. You will coach and motivate the team, drive upselling opportunities to enhance the guest experience, ensure beverage quality, and maintain a clean, compliant bar environment.

The Bar & Wine Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily bar operations and ensuring the highest standards of guest service, beverage quality, and safety. The Bar & Wine Supervisor will lead by example, support and coach the team, ensure compliance with liquor and food safety regulations, and effectively handle guest concerns. The role will also focus on anticipating guest needs, maximizing sales through upselling, and ensuring all bar operations are completed efficiently and to standard.
Provide the highest levels of customer service to internal team members at all times, setting the example and tone of interactions for all hotel teams.
Make eye contact and greet each guest.
Check ID’s to determine guest’s age. Uphold liquor laws and do not serve anyone under the age of 18, politely and professionally refusing service to anyone intoxicated.
Assist coworkers as you would guests.
Handle complaints and conflicts in a professional manner.
Ensure all beverage and food items are consistently served according to our quality standards.
Keenly observe your guests, anticipate their needs and provide service as seamlessly as possible.
Know all menu recipes, ingredients, presentation verbiage and placement.
Upsell in all areas not only to increase your average check, but to provide the guest with a comprehensive experience.
Clear and clean bar top and tables throughout your shift.
Perform all opening and closing side work.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation policies.
Follow all safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
Have knowledge of emergency procedures.
Perform other duties as requested.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience is an asset.
Strong knowledge of beverage service, food safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and conflict‑resolution skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
ProServe certification required.
