Job summary

Moxies in Canada is seeking a talented Events Manager to lead our events department, organize and grow sales, and mentor your own team while upholding the highest standards.

You will work closely with chefs, the General Manager, Director of Events and restaurant leaders, with travel across Canada and the US, a Monday–Friday 45-hour week, a salary plus commission, benefits, a laptop and a cell phone allowance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control events in the facility at an excellent level while maintaining and abiding by all standards, policies and procedures set forth by the company
• Provide leadership, training, and mentorship for the banquet team
• Achieve sales targets
• Identify skill and leadership potential in your crew and develop those individuals into higher roles
• Execute events and manage quality assurance
• Manage clients and customer service, including event quotes and accounts management
• Event inventory planning and labor control
• Expert scheduling
• Attend weekly EO meetings with the Chef to ensure culinary excellence

Events Manager

We are looking for a talented Events Manager to lead our event department. If you are interested in organizing events, driving development and increasing sales with one of Canada’s fastest growing hospitality groups – this is the role for you!

As an Event Manager you will have the opportunity to develop and mentor your own team, uphold standards for your department and have a direct impact on the success of the location. You will work directly with talented chefs, the General Manager, Director of Events and restaurant leaders as well as the hotel division.

The Role
