Responsibilities:
- Review daily events/reservations with the CDP or Sous Chef and prepare food in accordance with Fairmont standards efficiently
- Food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food safety standards
- Ensure proper rotation of products to minimize spoilage
- Follow safety and sanitation policies when handling food
- Handle, store, prepare, and serve food safely per hotel and Food Safety guidelines, including daily temperature logs, labeling, and cleaning storage areas
- Apply 5 Diamond and 5 Star Service Standards consistently
Qualifications
Required experience and skills:
- Passionate about food and customer service
- Ability to work under pressure
- Knife skills and proficiency in various cuts
- Ability to follow recipes and prep lists accurately
- Multitasking and time management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Food Safe Certification
- Neat appearance per hotel standards
- Availability for various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in luxury hotel and restaurant environments is a plus
- Motivated with initiative and goal-oriented
- Physical fitness to stand long periods and lift 20kg regularly
