Requirements for the Banquet Supervisor Role

Previous experience in banqueting, hospitality, or event coordination

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organisational and leadership abilities

A positive, can-do attitude with a passion for guest service

Ability to multitask and work well under pressure

Professional appearance and manner

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Responsibilities for the Banquet Supervisor Role

Greet bridal couples and event organisers with warmth and professionalism

Assist the Banqueting Manager in the preparation, service, and coordination of all functions

Supervise and support team members throughout the event service

Ensure banquet facilities are impeccably presented and maintained

Manage the smooth flow of service during weddings, receptions, and evening functions

Communicate event schedules and timing changes to all relevant departments

Liaise with chefs, bands, and top table personnel to ensure seamless coordination

Handle guest queries and complaints in a courteous and efficient manner

Uphold health and safety standards and participate in training and fire drills

Support sustainability efforts and environmental best practices within the hotel
