Banquet Manager will be responsible to meet and exceed guest and company expectations, ensure quality of product and service is provided at all times in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure that all fiscal responsibilities are met.

What will you be doing?

  • Organize and supervise staff, function setups, service and bar.
  • Communicate with function convener regarding contracts and any changes.
  • Ensures that captain reports and consumption reports are completed.
  • Schedule and train staff.
  • Supervise bar service and other ongoing events.
  • Coordinate with the other Banquet Managers in delegating tasks, maintaining quality of service and operating standards.
  • Oversee clean up and ensures that all work areas are left tidy after the function ends.
  • Control inventories, equipment, beverages and alcohol.
  • Submit weekly inventory orders.
  • Enforce alcohol and smoking regulations.

What We're Looking For?

  • Minimum two years Supervisory experience in the Food Service/Hospitality Industry, specifically Banquet or Restaurant Management.
  • Post Secondary education in the Hospitality field preferred.
  • Ability to train staff in food and beverage service.
  • Efficient and effective handling of guest complaints and concerns.
  • Lead by example how to treat customers, maintain a safe work environment, and follow the company’s policies and procedures regarding your department.
  • Good time management skills, able to work in a constantly fast-paced environment and demonstrated work flexibility.
  • Excellent customer service, tact and diplomacy skills when dealing with customers and peers.
  • Ensure that company health and safety guidelines as set out in the Bingemans Policy and Procedure manual are being met Comply with relevant health and safety laws as they apply under the Occupational Health & Safety Act, the Regulations and the WHMIS Regulations.
  • Able to work with a large and diverse group of people.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • On feet for extended periods during shift.
  • Works on-site and at off-site locations.
  • Food Handlers Certification is required.
  • Smart Serve Certification is required.
  • Ontario Drivers License Class G and Clean Drivers Abstract are required.
  • First aid and CPR trained (or willing to obtain).
