This role is responsible for achieving sales, service, and operational goals for the Banking Center, based on Webster’s Strategic Guidelines. The individual assumes responsibility for the branch in the Banking Center Manager’s absence. They will work with existing clients and prospects to deepen the share of wallet and increase market share. They will also play a vital role in coaching staff to cross-sell products and services by maintaining a working knowledge of Webster’s offerings. Additionally, they will assist with completing operational tasks to help the team achieve or exceed audit standards. The colleague will develop and maintain strong partnerships with various business segments through collaboration and communication, with the ability to supervise and coach others.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Assist the Banking Center Manager in achieving sales, customer service, P&L management, operations, and employee development goals.
  2. Take responsibility for the banking center in the Manager’s absence, ensuring an exceptional client experience.
  3. Achieve or exceed individual sales, service, and operational targets.
  4. Respond to customer needs by processing routine banking transactions accurately and preparing client applications for account openings.
  5. Build Centers of Influence (COIs) through networking and prospecting to promote the Webster brand and create value.
  6. Utilize lead management tools and resources, such as Salesforce, to document activities.
  7. Support segmentation strategies with existing clients by implementing sales, retention, and other bank initiatives to support growth and profitability.
  8. Assist with completing required audits and maintaining operational standards.
  9. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, bank policies, and procedures, and meet or exceed branch evaluation requirements.
  10. Provide mentorship and guidance to colleagues to adhere to sales and service processes, demonstrating leadership and role modeling.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  1. High School diploma or GED required; college preferred.
  2. 3-5 years of customer sales/service experience with 1-2 years of supervisory experience, demonstrating success in leading, coaching, and motivating.
  3. Working knowledge of all products and services.
  4. Familiarity with systems used for branch transaction processing.
  5. Strong customer service skills and the ability to support teamwork, creating a positive work environment.
  6. Ability to work a flexible and/or rotating schedule, including weekends and extended hours. Travel may be required to alternate Banking Centers.

The estimated salary range for this position is $ to $ USD per hour. Actual salary may vary depending on knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This position is also eligible for incentive compensation.
