Summary

Processes a variety of customer transactions at a teller window. Recognizes customer needs and recommends products, services, or assistance of other bank employees or departments to deliver a superior level of customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain strong knowledge of bank products and services, recognizing customer needs and cross-selling products effectively.
• Participate in the bank's referral program, utilizing technology and programs to achieve results.
• Meet specific referral goals on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Operate and balance a terminal and cash drawer daily.
• Accept and process transactions such as savings, checking, Holiday Savings accounts, loan payments, rental payments, money orders, official checks, and cash withdrawals.
• Accept checks for cashing following FNB check handling procedures.
• Complete all required training courses successfully.
• Be flexible and foster a teamwork-oriented work environment.
• Assist with duties related to money shipments and orders.
• Perform additional branch duties outside of transaction processing as needed.
• Handle all cash, transactions, and customer information securely and in accordance with security policies.
• Make outbound sales calls to current and prospective clients.
• Maintain flexibility with work schedules to meet branch staffing needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
• Accept responsibilities and projects assigned by supervisors to add value.
• Work effectively in a team environment with a positive attitude.
• Complete mandatory and elective training, including BSA and Anti-Money Laundering procedures, maintaining compliance with all regulations.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Proven cash handling experience.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with office equipment such as calculators, phones, fax machines.
• Customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
