Bank Recovery / Litigation Clerk

Salary : Up to $80K

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage bank recovery files from intake through to enforcement with minimal supervision
  • Draft and file pleadings, affidavits, default judgments, motion records, writs of seizure and sale, garnishments, and other enforcement documents
  • Track and manage court deadlines and limitation periods
  • Liaise with process servers, courts, clients, and opposing counsel
  • Monitor responses, coordinate service, and follow up on court filings and procedural steps
  • Maintain well-organized, up-to-date files in accordance with firm policies
  • Prepare reports and documentation to support lawyers and client communications

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in bank recovery and litigation within a law firm setting
  • Proven proficiency in drafting and filing pleadings, default judgments, garnishments, writs, and motion records
  • Strong understanding of the Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure and Small Claims Court processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Effective communication and client service skills
  • Proficiency with legal software and document management systems (e.g. ACL, Primafact, PC Law, etc.)
  • Law Clerk diploma or equivalent training preferred
