Job description

As a Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant at Ashlynn Grange Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality of service within the home.

About Ashlynn Grange Care Home:
Ashlynn Grange is an exceptional 153-bed care home in Peterborough, known for its beautiful gardens that grow flowers and a variety of vegetables.

About the role:
Reporting to the Head Housekeeper, the Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the highest service standards of cleaning are delivered in the home to provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Salary:
£11.44 per hour.

Shift Pattern:
Bank contract - shifts between Monday to Sunday.

Home Location:
Bretton Gate, Peterborough, PE3 9UZ.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure that cleaning duties are carried out in accordance to the cleaning schedule, maintaining the highest standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
• Ensure all health and safety requirements are met, and that infection control policies and universal precautions are followed at all times.
• Actively engage with residents in conversation and meaningful activities that respect their dignity and individual communication differences.

Training, Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience in a similar position is advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided.
• A passion for care – we’re looking for a genuinely caring individual who will prioritize the needs of our residents.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, along with high attention to detail.
