Collège Boréal seeks a Band Representative in M’Chigeeng to advocate for First Nation children in child welfare matters. Responsibilities include representing the band in court, developing plans of care, and intervening in family crises. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree or diploma and have experience in First Nation communities, ensuring the protection of cultural traditions and child welfare.
Position Summary
The Band Representative will represent MFN band membership children regardless of location before the courts. The Band Representative will ensure the heritage, cultural traditions, identity, and rights of M’Chigeeng First Nation children are protected and preserved by all parties involved in child welfare matters.
