The City of Markham is seeking a Ballroom Program Instructor to lead dance classes for diverse ages at Angus Glen Community Centre. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, supervise participants of various abilities, and foster a positive community environment.
Evenings and weekends are required; you will coordinate with the Supervisor/Coordinator and ensure safety and equipment readiness. Prior certification and one year of teaching experience are expected.

Must be available for various evenings and weekends throughout the week and be willing to occasionally cover shifts for staff absences.
Under the supervision of the Community Program Supervisor/Coordinator, the Ballroom Program Instructor will be responsible for planning, organizing, instructing and leading Ballroom dance classes for various ages and abilities.
The candidate will also be responsible for the training and supervision of a variety of participants of various ages and physical abilities and developing a program that recognizes their capabilities within a community recreation environment. They will also help motivate participants to achieve their goals and confidence, while ensuring a positive and safe environment.
