Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operate baling machinery to compress, tie, and eject bales of recyclable materials.
  2. Operate scale to weigh trucks in and out as they come to the site.
  3. Monitor bale output for proper density, tie integrity, and quality control.
  4. Operate skid steers to move bales and load trailers.
  5. Ensure trailers are loaded in compliance with weight distribution and safety regulations.
  6. Keep machinery and surrounding work area clean and free of material buildup.
  7. Complete load documentation and bale tickets as required.
  8. Perform daily equipment checks and report any malfunctions or maintenance issues.
  9. Follow all health and safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
  10. Assist with sorting, cleanup, or maintenance as needed.
Qualifications (required):
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Comfortable working around large industrial machinery.
  3. Skid steer experience or certification.
  4. Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications (preferred):
  1. Experience in a recycling facility, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
  2. 1+ years of experience operating balers or other recycling equipment.
  3. WHMIS, First Aid, or other safety certifications.
  4. Mechanical aptitude or minor maintenance skills.
