Job summary

Westview Co-op is seeking a part-time Bakery Team Member in Alberta. You will perform production, packaging and merchandising tasks, with a focus on baking and food safety. You will be required to lift up to 50lbs and start early at 5:00am when needed.

You will provide friendly, professional service to Members and Guests, uphold brand standards, assist with ordering and receiving products, and contribute to a clean, well-presented bakery space. Flexible scheduling and team teamwork are essential.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Team Member will perform a variety of responsibilities in the operation, ensuring alignment with our Core values and Brand:

• Understanding and following Westview Co-op’s policies and procedures and participating in the Health and Safety Program and promoting a culture of safety.
• Providing professional, people-first, service to our Members and Guests and living by our Brand expectations through our “You’re at Home Here” motto.
• Production, packaging and merchandising of products
• Food Preparation with a focus of baking of product
• Follow proper food safe regulations
• Accurate ordering and receiving of product
• Ensure a high level of image and cleanliness in line with our Brand expectations.
• Other projects and assignments as required.

This position requires the use of equipment including ovens and slicers, as well as frequent heavy lifting of products. Candidates for this position will be responsible for working early mornings. (5:00am start time)

This part-time position offers approximately 12-24 hours per week. The successful candidate must have availability for flexible scheduling, including daytime, evening, weekend shifts, and early morning shifts starting as early as 5:00 AM.
