Job summary

Wonderbrands is seeking a sanitation worker at our Winnipeg facility to maintain cleanliness on the production floor and surrounding areas. You will operate a variety of cleaning equipment, perform sanitation tasks per master schedules, and ensure compliance with GMP and safety guidelines.

Applicants should have manufacturing and sanitation experience, be comfortable with cleaning agents, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
• Experience in sanitation, especially industrial sanitation.
• Comfortable working with sanitizing agents and chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be self-reliant.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of the production floor and surrounding area.
• Clean production floors, ceilings and walls using specified equipment.
• Lock out, dismantling, cleaning and sanitizing of production machines per procedures.
• Adhere to GMP and health and safety guidelines.
• Collect waste and recyclables from the production area.
• Assist in cleaning major spills of liquid or dry product.
• Perform specialized cleaning procedures per master sanitation schedule.
• Comply with Weston Bakeries food safety policies.
