Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate at our Saint-Hyacinthe location to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining the Bakery and Deli areas. You will assist with stocking, zone the department, and help with selling goods.

The role emphasizes adhering to food safety standards, operating the deli and bakery sections, and ensuring accurate signage and pricing. Starting pay is $19.05 per hour in Canada.

Qualifications

• Age - 16 or older.

Responsibilities

• Zone the department to keep shelves, tables and bunkers organized and in the right locations.
• Rotate stock and check for expired products.
• Ensure merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Follow standards for cold chain, thermometer calibration, temperature recording and food safety.
• Take orders for Deli merchandise and prepare hot foods.
• Prepare deli items using utensils and rotisserie chicken, fill side dishes for display.
• Prepare bakery items by following thawing and baking guidelines and ensuring quality and presentation.
• Follow procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing, pricing and labeling.
