Job summary

Country Grocer in Esquimalt is seeking a part-time Bakery Clerk to join our friendly team. You will help provide fresh breads and sweet treats, greet customers, and support daily bakery operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide premier customer service by greeting customers and responding to questions and making recommendations when needed.
• Ensure all prepared bakery items are properly labeled, covered and rotated and that shelves are stocked.
• Process special orders on an as needed basis.
• Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, company policies, and other programs and initiatives.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job description

Our Esquimalt location is looking for a Part-Time Bakery Clerk to join our family! The bakery department is responsible for providing a delectably sweet treats and freshly baked breads, If this sounds like you we “knead” to meet you!

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide premier customer service by greeting customers and responding to questions and making recommendations when needed.
• Ensure all prepared bakery items are properly labeled, covered and rotated and that shelves are stocked.
• Process special orders on an as needed basis.
• Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, company policies, and other programs and initiatives.
• Perform other duties as required.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to safely bend, twist, and lift up to 50lbs on a consistent basis
• Ability to walk and stand for a long period of hours
• Ability to maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety procedures
• A high-level of motivation and a proactive attitude
• Desire to provide outstanding customer service and to comply with established department procedures and safe work practice
• A willingness to learn and openness to coaching and feedback

Pay: CA$18.25 – CA$22.00 per hour

Schedule Requirements:

• Ability to work during mornings, weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Up to 30 hours per week
