Job summary

Country Grocer in Cobble Hill, BC is seeking a Full-Time Bakery Clerk to join our family. You will help provide delicious baked goods and assist customers with selections, ensuring items are properly labeled, stocked, and fresh.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, handling special orders, preparing cookies, cakes and bread, packaging and decorating items, and adhering to all food safety protocols. The role requires physical ability and a positive, proactive attitude.

• Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, company policies, and other programs and initiatives.
• Perform other duties as required.

Our Cobble Hill location is looking for a Full-Time Opening Bakery Clerk to join our family! The bakery department is responsible for providing a delectably sweet treats and freshly baked breads, If this sounds like you we “knead” to meet you!

Job Responsibilities

• Provide premier customer service by greeting customers and responding to questions and making recommendations when needed.
• Ensure all prepared bakery items are properly labeled, covered and rotated and that shelves are stocked.
• Process special orders on an as needed basis.
• Prepare and package cookies, cakes and bread, and ice donuts and decorate cakes.
• Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, company policies, and other programs and initiatives.
• Perform other duties as required.

Working Conditions

• Ability to safely bend, twist, and lift up to 50lbs on a consistent basis
• Ability to walk and stand for a long period of hours
• Ability to maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety procedures
• A high-level of motivation and a proactive attitude
• Desire to provide outstanding customer service and to comply with established department procedures and safe work practice
• A willingness to learn and openness to coaching and feedback

Schedule Requirements

• Ability to work during opening shifts (6:00AM-2:30PM), weekends, holidays

Pay: CA$18.25 – CA$22.00 per hour
