Job summary

R. Denninger Limited is seeking a bakery associate to prepare, package and serve bakery products and assist customers with a friendly, courteous approach.

You will weigh, price, wrap items and bake fresh goods daily while keeping displays well stocked and attractive for customers.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic math skills.
• Experience with bread slicers, weight scales and ovens is an asset.
• Flexible scheduling availability.

Responsibilities

• Assists customers in the selection of bakery products.
• Weighs, prices and wraps bakery products selected by customers.
• Weighs, prices and wraps bakery products to be merchandised in the self serve.
• Bakes fresh products daily.
• Ensures bakery counter display is well stocked with proper rotation.
• Monitor quality of product and report any concerns to the Department Head.
• All other duties as assigned by Management.

Job Summary:

Responsible for preparing, packaging and serving products in the bakery. Also responsible for serving customers at the bakery in a courteous and friendly manner.

Job Duties

• Assists customers in the selection of bakery products and other products sold in the bakery.
• Weighs, prices and wraps bakery products selected by customers.
• Weighs, prices and wraps bakery products to be merchandised in the self serve.
• Bakes fresh products daily.
• Ensures that the Bakery counter display is well stocked in a visually appealing manner with proper regard to product rotation.
• Monitor quality of product and report any concerns to the Department Head.
• All other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Experience working with bread slicers, weight scales, ovens is an asset.
• Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the store.

Essential Job Functions

• Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
• Bend and twist the upper body, reach above and below shoulders.
• ​Bend and lift loads, up to 50 pounds.
• Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
• Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
