Job summary

Aramark is seeking a baker to join our food services team. You will bake a variety of items, prepare ingredients, and operate baking equipment while following standardized recipes and safety procedures.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, adherence to food safety regulations, and teamwork in a rotating on-site schedule with potential off-site periods.

Qualifications

• Previous baker experience preferred.
• Knowledge of baking methods and food safety regulations.
• Must be able to perform basic math and counting.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Bake and prepare a variety of foods according to recipes.
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Measure, weigh, mix, and chop ingredients as needed.
• Operate ovens, stoves, mixers and related equipment.
• Store food per safety guidelines and sanitize areas.
• Maintain friendly customer service and comply with safety policies.
• Protect company assets and follow PPE requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Bakes and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, etc.
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
• Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
• Required to obtain food safety certification(s)
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The pay range for this position is $17.95 - $20.91.
