Job summary

ROMET Limited is seeking a Badging & Finishing Support Operator to join our busy manufacturing facility in Mississauga. This role supports the badging and finishing process and contributes to continuous improvement across the Production team.

You will read drawings, generate bar code labels, operate hand and air tools, wear PPE, and participate in safe, efficient production. A high school diploma or GED and experience with hand tools are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with hand and air tools preferred.
• Manufacturing environment experience required.
• Lean Manufacturing training is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and follow detailed finishing and shipping instructions, processes and procedures.
• Generate bar code labels and badges using printers and computers.
• Use hand and air tools safely and as directed.
• Wear PPE as required.
• Operate a hoist in a safe manner (only after proper training).
• Housekeeping as required.
• All other duties as assigned.

We are currently looking for a Badging & Finishing Support Operator to join our busy and growing manufacturing facility. General Accountability:

Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, the role of Badging & Finishing Support Operator will provide support to the badging and finishing process with the department.

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Read drawings and follow detailed finishing and shipping instructions, processes and procedures
• Generate bar code labels and badges using printers and computers
• Use hand and air tools safely and as directed
• Wear PPE as required
• Operate a hoist in a safe manner (only after proper training)
• Housekeeping as required
• All other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to perform lifting – up to 50 lbs.
• Able to communicate both verbally and in writing
• Working knowledge of safe lifting methods
• Attention to detail in all areas of work
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Educational/Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working with hand and air tools
• Working experience in manufacturing environment
• Lean Manufacturing training and experience an asset
