Job summary

The Forest Group is seeking a Backhoe Operator to join our Vaughan-area team. The role involves operating a backhoe for concrete removal, curb work, and road maintenance, with responsibilities including grading and site cleanup.

You will report to Site Supervisors and contribute to efficient project execution. Qualified candidates have at least 2 years of backhoe experience, a valid driver’s license, and a safety-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience operating a backhoe.
• Experience in concrete removal and/or road work is a requirement.
• Safety focused with willingness to follow company policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate a backhoe to remove concrete curbs and sidewalks on roads and parking lots.
• Carry out bulk excavation and load trucks for disposal.
• Perform fine and finished grading work.
• Follow equipment maintenance schedule as required.
• Conduct daily circle checks on equipment and vehicles.
• Handle general labour duties and site cleanup as needed.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by Site Supervisors.
