Job description
Backend Engineer

Location: Vancouver, San Francisco, Anywhere, Hyderabad

What We Do

Momentum is a sales automation platform for RevOps teams to standardize sales motions. We connect the sales stack, and bring consistent and repeatable motions via automated sales workflows. Momentum shortens deal cycles, improves cross functional collaboration, and gives sales teams increased visibility into their most important deals.

We started building Momentum in mid 2020 and are well-funded by amazing investors, including Basis Set Ventures, Inovia, South Park Commons, and Leadout ($5M raised). Other angel investors and advisors include CROs & RevOps leaders from companies such as Asana, Miro, Narvar, Square, Shopify and more.

Who We're Looking For

We're hiring ambitious, self-directed startup folks who can hit the ground running in the first 30 days and are excited to shape Momentum from the ground up. We pride ourselves on giving people direction versus mandates, and we celebrate initiative and creativity as we work together to achieve shared goals.

We're (mostly) distributed, with HQs in SF and Vancouver, and are open to working with great people anywhere in the world. We offer competitive salaries, generous early-stage equity packages, full benefits, technology and learning stipends, and the chance to get together in-person a couple times a year for fun off-sites (no boring conference room sessions!).

Responsibilities
  • Work with a small engineering team to build a no-code platform.
  • Build an entirely new platform from scratch and make important architectural decisions as one of our first engineers.
  • Plan, organize, and execute entire projects end to end, from idea to launch with having empathy for customers.
  • Help build the engineering principles, tooling, and processes.
  • Help build up an engineering team around you as we grow.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • Comfortable working with GraphQL + Node + Typescript + Postgres (previous experience not required).
Benefits
  • Competitive salary & early stage stock options based on experience
  • 100% coverage of premium health, vision and dental insurance, with 75% support for dependents
  • 4 weeks paid PTO
  • 1 bonus week between Christmas and NYE when Momentum closes its offices
  • Get togethers in-person a couple times a year (no boring conference room sessions!).
  • Home office / technology stipends
  • Learning stipends
  • A fun team that values autonomy and trust
