Backend Development Technical Lead (Python+Django)

STGC Technologies Consulting is the Canadian subsidiary of Summit Technology Consulting Group/Allocore, providing modern SaaS solutions in the financial services and fraud prevention sectors.

We are seeking a candidate for a full-time remote role for a Backend Development Technical Lead (Python/Django). The Technical Lead will oversee backend development projects, lead a team of developers, and ensure the technical quality and delivery of solutions.

Qualifications

• Must reside in and be legally allowed to work in Canada
• 5+ years of experience developing REST APIs in Python with the Django framework
• 5+ years of experience interacting with relational databases (Postgres preferred)
• 3+ years of experience with Docker and Docker Compose
• 3+ years of experience leading a team of developers, including performing code reviews and mentoring and training team members
• Experience with AWS EKS and other AWS services considered an asset
• Solid proficiency developing secure, performant, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions and designs for complex requirements
• Strong understanding of software development principles
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Must be self motivated with a desire to work in a fast paced environment with a talented team of professionals
