Must-Have Qualifications

• Experience with the Backbase digital banking platform.
• 5+ years of production-level Java experience.
• Knowledge of Spring, Web MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.
• Experience with SOAP and RESTful Web Services, XML, JSON, RAML.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Experience with Unit Testing using JUnit.
• Familiarity with application servers like Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic, or JBoss.
• Strong understanding of Git, Subversion, and other source control tools.
• Experience with Enterprise Integration Patterns and frameworks like Apache Camel.
• Experience working on SaaS platforms or with Service-Oriented Architectures.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of security practices and systems handling sensitive data.
• Good SQL knowledge.
• Experience in the financial services industry or professional services.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
• Knowledge of TDD and CI practices.
• Understanding of Web Application Security (OWASP) best practices.
• Experience with Hibernate and other persistence frameworks.
• Knowledge of databases like MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, or NoSQL.

Location

This is a 100% remote, full-time position. Candidates outside Canada will work as independent contractors.

Compensation

The salary range is CAD $90K-$120K annually, or equivalent hourly rate for contractors outside Canada. Compensation depends on skills, experience, and market rates.
