Job summary

JD Sports Cross Iron Mills in Canada is seeking a Back of House Manager to lead stockroom operations, inbound deliveries, outbound transfers, and inventory accuracy per company standards.

You will be part of the store leadership team, manage a team, coordinate with customer service and store leaders, and foster a positive, inclusive work environment while developing staff and ensuring schedules meet business needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years stockroom or distribution center experience.
• 2+ years people management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and task oriented.
• High sense of urgency; proactive and organized.
• Full-time availability with early starts and weekend/holiday shifts.
• Proven experience supervising, training and developing staff.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As Back of House Manager, you will own all activity happening in the BOH. This includes managinginbound deliveries, preparing outbound transfers, leading a team, and ensuring inventory accuracy &efficiency per company standards. This is key role within the store’s leadership team, which reports tothe store manager plus a dotted line to JD Canada BOH Manager (Support Office). Your experiencemaking quick decisions, and the ability to pivot with ever changing business needs will be tested daily!The ideal candidate will have a high sense of urgency, be self driven & motivated, have a keen eye fordetail and accuracy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day operations of the stockroom (BOH). Ensure accurate labeling, logical placement, and maintaining general order & cleanliness of the BOH.
• Managing daily e-commerce fulfillment, which consists of picking, packing and shipping ordersdirect to our customers.
• Communicate daily with customer service, support office leaders, and other stores via slack,email or other channels.
• Decrease store shrinkage by researching inventory discrepancies and problem-solving issues to ensure optimal inventory levels & sales.
• Oversea store supplies, ensuring the retail store has everything it needs for daily/weeklyoperation.
• Lead by example while providing a positive and inclusive work environment for the entireteam.
• Encourage and foster personal progression throughout the staff team.
• As part of the management team, you will be responsible to fully understand & work within company guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Helping with onboarding and training of new starters.
• Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge, and current or upcoming product / trends.

Required Skills, Experience, and Behaviors:

• 3+ years stockroom and/or distribution center experience
• 2+ years people management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and task oriented.
• Must have a high sense of urgency. Being both proactive and organized.
• Full time availability – standard daily starts as early 8am, and occasional late nights, weekends,and holidays in line with changing business needs.
• Proven experience supervising, training and developing team members.
• Strong cognitive and mathematical skills, including problem analysis, decision making and
• financial analysis.
• High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust.
• Openness to feedback and willingness to develop.
