Job summary

JD Sports Cross Iron Mills is seeking a Back of House Manager to own all BOH activity, including inbound deliveries and outbound transfers, while leading a team and ensuring inventory accuracy and efficiency. This is a on-site, full-time role within a store leadership team that reports to the store manager and JD Canada BOH Manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years stockroom or distribution center experience.
• 2+ years people management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and task-oriented.
• Must have high sense of urgency, being proactive and organized.
• Full-time availability – standard daily starts as early as 8am, with occasional late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proven experience supervising, training and developing team members.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, including problem analysis and decision making.
• High ethics, values, integrity, and trust; openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the stockroom (BOH). Ensure accurate labeling, logical placement, and cleanliness of the BOH.
• Manage daily e-commerce fulfillment: picking, packing, and shipping orders to customers.
• Communicate daily with customer service, support office leaders, and other stores via Slack, email, or other channels.
• Reduce store shrinkage by researching inventory discrepancies and resolving issues to maintain optimal inventory levels and sales.
• Oversee store supplies to ensure the store has what it needs for daily operations.
• Lead by example and foster a positive, inclusive work environment for the team.
• Support onboarding and training of new starters.
• Maintain product knowledge awareness and stay updated on trends.

THE ROLE

As Back of House Manager, you will own all activity happening in the BOH. This includes managinginbound deliveries, preparing outbound transfers, leading a team, and ensuring inventory accuracy &efficiency per company standards. This is key role within the store’s leadership team, which reports tothe store manager plus a dotted line to JD Canada BOH Manager (Support Office). Your experiencemaking quick decisions, and the ability to pivot with ever changing business needs will be tested daily!The ideal candidate will have a high sense of urgency, be self driven & motivated, have a keen eye fordetail and accuracy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day operations of the stockroom (BOH). Ensure accurate labeling, logical placement, and maintaining general order & cleanliness of the BOH.
• Managing daily e-commerce fulfillment, which consists of picking, packing and shipping ordersdirect to our customers.
• Communicate daily with customer service, support office leaders, and other stores via slack,email or other channels.
• Decrease store shrinkage by researching inventory discrepancies and problem-solving issues to ensure optimal inventory levels & sales.
• Oversee store supplies, ensuring the retail store has everything it needs for daily/weeklyoperation.
• Lead by example while providing a positive and inclusive work environment for the entireteam.
• Encourage and foster personal progression throughout the staff team.
• As part of the management team, you will be responsible to fully understand & work within company guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Helping with onboarding and training of new starters.
• Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge, and current or upcoming product / trends.

Required Skills, Experience, and Behaviors:

• 3+ years stockroom and/or distribution center experience
• 2+ years people management experience
