Job description

Position: Registered Kinesiologist

Location: Market Crossing Burnaby

Status: Part Time

Clinical duties include:

  • Providing evidence-based assessment and treatment services for clients with various injuries and conditions, aiming to assist their return to work.
  • Implementing, monitoring, and progressing exercise and work simulation programs.
  • Managing resources, scheduling clients, tracking attendance, ensuring timely reports, and communicating with stakeholders (insurance companies, employers, physicians, etc.) in collaboration with the team Physiotherapist.
  • Developing structured Gradual Return to Work (GRTW) plans.
  • Monitoring GRTW plans to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Working with clients referred by ICBC.
  • Providing personal training and individualized kinesiology services.
  • Mentoring and training will be provided. The Kinesiologist will work independently at times and as part of a team including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Counselors, and Administrative Staff. Our goal is to help clients return to work and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and/or experience in evidence-based orthopaedic, concussion, neurological, or mental health practices with a focus on active rehabilitation.
  • Understanding of psycho-social aspects of disability.

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, or an equivalent degree.

Memberships & Associations:

  • Registration with BCAK is required.
