Purpose and Objectives

The SAP Analytics Cloud Application Platform organization is looking for people to help with our next generation cloud architecture, focusing on back-end topics involving the development and management of scalable microservices. Expectations and Tasks

Because we are working on new, potentially complex architecture, we need someone resourceful, eager to learn, creative with problem-solving, and strong in collaborative skills. We're looking for someone who can:

1. Design, develop, lead, and deliver high-quality features on a robust technology stack based on cloud design patterns.
2. Work closely with our engineering and operations team to build, test, and deploy solutions to production, as well as monitor and safeguard consumption by our enterprise-scale customers.
3. Take the initiative to identify gaps and opportunities in our product and technology stack.
4. Collaborate with teams locally and globally, in locations such as Germany, France, and India, to contribute to key deliverables that provide innovative business value to our customers.
5. Assess new technology projects and tools, and migrate our environment to new versions to keep pace with industry changes.

Education, Skills, and Competencies

• Degree in Computer Science or Software/Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and principles of object-oriented design.
• Knowledge of databases, web application servers, and web technologies.
• Deep experience developing production-ready backend services using Java, JDBC, Postgres, Neo4J, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java caching (ehCache, Caffeine), SAML, and extensive use of GenAI tools.
• Proficiency in cloud-native development technologies and architectures, such as Kubernetes/Cloud Foundry, AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Deep familiarity with SAP products including HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Datasphere.
