Job summary

RONA is seeking aReceiving and Handling team member in our stores to turn incoming deliveries into smooth product flow. You will sort, unpack, store, and move merchandise using forklifts, pallets jacks, and related equipment, ensuring accurate inventory and timely space planning.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, safety, and adherence to store procedures, with opportunities for advancement and inclusive team support in a community-focused retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate store equipment in assigned work area (forklift, pallet jacks, electrical lifts, computer, scanner etc.)
• Commitment to health and safety in the workplace
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with material handling equipment will be considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Receive all product deliveries and maintain flow of inventory to store shelves (sort and unpack product, operate forklift to transport product to appropriate areas)
• Schedule deliveries and shipments, authorize unscheduled deliveries, and ensure space is available for incoming product
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory received
• Complete paperwork with attention to accuracy
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly
