Qualifications

About the Role: As a Mental Health Counselor at Windsor, you will work alongside an integrated team of mental health and substance use professionals, providing counseling to individuals, couples, and families. You may also provide early childhood development education and assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with policies and standards.
  2. Provide direct services including assessments, goal setting, and treatment.
  3. Conduct screenings, intakes, and assessments within established timelines.
  4. Develop and update treatment and care plans, ensuring timely referrals and discharges.
  5. Assess diagnoses and mental status; create individualized treatment plans.
  6. Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments to ensure safety.
  7. Collaborate with other professionals and external providers for coordinated care.
  8. Assist clients with safety planning, symptom management, and risk education.
  9. Utilize therapeutic interventions to develop coping strategies.
  10. Support evidence-based practices and connect clients to resources.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability.
  • Successful background, fingerprinting, and drug testing.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year working with individuals facing mental health challenges.
