Job description

Summary

Enerflex Ltd. Is looking for B Pressure Welders to join the team at our State of the Art, automated 328,000 sq ft. facility in SE Calgary that supports the global energy market. Reporting to the Supervisor and Lead Hand, the permanent full time B Pressure Welder is responsible for executing fabrication projects in accordance with our welding procedures, working with other employees as a part of a team, have the ability and desire to become efficient with welding techniques, meet and maintain Enerflex’s quality expectations and learn new skills as required. The individual will be an Alberta Certified B Pressure Welder who has a continual focus on safety, quality, cost control and customer satisfaction when performing the duties of the position.

We are hiring two candidates for day shift: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, 4 days a week,

and one candidate for evening shift: 5:00pm - 3:00am, 4 days a week.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Read and interpret welding process specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
• Ensure all welding equipment is clean and functional.
• Participating in, accepting, and adopting the safety principles.
  
  

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Alberta B Pressure Welder Certificate and pass a shop “B” Pressure weld test.
• Commitment to promoting and being a part of a safe, continuous improvement, 5S culture.
• Experience in vessel or spooling, preferably with natural gas equipment an asset.
• Vessel and or spooling fitting an asset.
• This position may be required to direct, coach and mentor potential B Pressure Welders.
• Ability to work 4 x 10-hour shifts per week, with optional overtime.
• Results oriented and a team player.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment health assessment including a drug and alcohol test.
