GrizzlyTrek Group in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut is seeking a B Pressure Welder for generator installs. Rotation is 3/1 with 12-hour days. Travel and housing are arranged; a $100 per day per diem covers meals.

Start ASAP to mid-October, with project continuing through Christmas break at minimum. Weld to drawings and procedures with safety commitments in place. The role requires a B Pressure ticket, Journeyman ticket, and Fall Pro/AWP, plus client orientations; work is fly-in, fly-out, with housing

Qualifications

• Fall Protection/Arctic Work Permit (Fall Pro/AWP) required.
• Client site orientations are required for this job.
• Able to work 12 hour days on a 3/1 rotation, fly-in fly-out.

Responsibilities

• Weld pressure piping for generator installs to the drawings and procedures.
• Fit up, tack and weld pipe, fittings and supports to job standards.
• Prepare joints and keep work area clean and ready to weld.
• Work with pipefitters and other trades to keep install on schedule.
• Inspect welds and test finished work as required.
• Complete client orientations and participate in site safety meetings.

It is fly-in fly-out on a 3/1 rotation with 12 hour days. Travel to and from site is booked for you, housing is provided, and a $100 per day per diem covers your food. Start is ASAP to mid October, running to the Christmas break at minimum.

The Site

Rankin Inlet is a fly-in community on the west coast of Hudson Bay. The scope on this job is generator installs. Flights and housing are arranged for you, so you arrive ready to work the rotation.

What You'll Do

• Weld pressure piping for generator installs to the drawings and weld procedures provided
• Fit up, tack and weld pipe, fittings and supports to the job's quality standard
• Prep joints and keep the work clean and ready to weld
• Work alongside the pipefitters and other trades on site to keep the install on schedule
• Check your own welds and support inspection and testing of finished work
• Complete client orientations, take part in safety meetings, and follow site safety procedures
