Job Overview

Jardeg is seeking a Welder Foreperson for our maintenance team at CNRL Horizon, near Fort McMurray, Alberta. The position offers a base rate of $59.88/hr, with a permanent day shift on a 7/7 schedule, working 12 hours per day. The schedule is compressed, and all hours on the maintenance schedule are straight time. Accommodation and flights are provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and organizing daily project tasks
• Supervise and organize team tasks, interpret drawings, and calculate material quantities
• Maintain knowledge of metals, electrodes, gases, and welding techniques
• Identify and repair defective welds
• Perform mathematical calculations related to welding
• Ensure work complies with industry codes and standards
• Coordinate with other trades
• Perform tasks adhering to quality and safety standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
• Strong safety commitment and knowledge of industry regulations
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and work at heights

Minimum Requirements

• Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test clearance
• Valid Journeyperson B Pressure Welder certification
• Welding tickets and qualification tests (F3/F4, F6/F5, F3-F3, CWB S or T-class, 661T/W1063 HFO)
• Safety certifications: CSO or CSTS-09, Confined Space Entry & Monitor, Fall Arrest/Protection, Aerial Work Platform, Overhead Crane and Rigging
• Valid government-issued ID
