[B] Mental Health Support Worker - Reg. Part Time [BMR MHSW12 0.60] AgeCare Mount Royal

Join us as a Mental Health Support Worker at AgeCare, working in our new Long Term Care, Mental Health specialty program. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team supporting residents aged 18+ with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide behaviour and symptom support to residents in collaboration with the Resident Care Manager, Social Worker, and Occupational Therapist.
  2. Use a strength-based approach to foster residents’ overall well-being, psycho-social recovery, stability, and community re-integration.
  3. Support residents in developing problem-solving, competencies, and social integration by building rapport.
  4. Contribute to a resident-centered environment.
  5. Report unsafe activities or behaviours that may cause harm or injury.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Certificate in Community/Mental Health, Addictions, Aboriginal Studies, or related fields.
