The Opportunity

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), reporting to the Director of Care, is responsible for providing planned, patient-oriented nursing care in accordance with provincial standards.

What Is In It For You
  • Work as part of an inter-professional team applying a person-centered approach to care.
  • Ensure clinical care assessments, care/service plans, and documentation are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Implement and evaluate care plans, making adjustments as needed.
  • Assist with scheduling and participate in resident care conferences.
  • Facilitate resident move-in, move-out, and transfers in collaboration with the Director of Care.
  • Provide direct resident care, including medication and treatment administration, in compliance with standards and policies.
What You Will Need
  • Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Alberta.
  • Experience in a senior's environment and with unregulated care providers preferred.
  • Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, or long-term care are assets.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, care coordination, and time management skills.
  • Sound clinical knowledge.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Vulnerable Sector Check (within last six months) or willingness to obtain one.
