Job summary

CoFoMo Inc. is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy and manage Azure-based solutions. You will configure VMs, VNets, AKS and PostgreSQL, ensure monitoring and security, and optimize performance across networks and cloud services.

You will automate tasks with PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Azure Automation, while applying best practices in security and documentation. Collaboration with teams and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science or information technology.
• At least five years of experience in technology infrastructure and network management.
• Extensive experience with Azure services and cloud environments.
• Proficient in Azure components: VMs, VNets, AKS, PostgreSQL, storage.
• Expertise with Linux, Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge of enterprise networking concepts: routers, switches, firewalls.
• Automation and scripting: PowerShell, Azure CLI, Azure Automation.
• Understand network security principles and best practices.
• Monitoring and performance tools: Nagios or Zabbix.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Azure certifications (Administrator Associate or Solutions Architect) are assets.
• An asset: Ansible, Chef or Puppet.
• Experience with AWS or GCP is an asset.
• Experience with virtualization: VMware or Hyper-V is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, AKS services, and PostgreSQL databases;
• Ensure monitoring, availability, and performance of Azure resources;
• Manage corporate networks, including LAN, WAN, and VPN environments;
• Implement and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and virtual private networks;
• Monitor infrastructures to detect and resolve performance and security issues;
• Develop automation scripts for infrastructure and network management tasks;
• Use automation and configuration management tools, such as Azure Automation, PowerShell, and Azure CLI;
• Analyze the performance of Azure services and networks to identify opportunities for optimization;
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity, performance, and security incidents;
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the resolution of critical incidents;
• Maintain documentation of configurations, processes and procedures;
• Train and coach team members on best practices related to Azure services and security.

Qualifications

• Have a university degree in computer science, information technology or a related field;
• Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in technology infrastructure and network management;
• Have extensive experience with Azure services and cloud environments;
• Be proficient in Azure, including virtual machines, virtual networks, AKS services, PostgreSQL, and storage services;
• Demonstrate expertise with Linux, Kubernetes and Docker;
• Knowledge of enterprise networking concepts, including configuring routers, switches, and firewalls;
• Use automation and scripting tools effectively, including PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Azure Automation;
• Understand network security principles and best practices;
• Master infrastructure monitoring and performance management tools, such as Nagios or Zabbix;
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills;
• Work effectively independently and as part of a team;
• Demonstrate rigor, organization and great attention to detail;
• Hold an Azure certification, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect (an asset);
• Knowledge of configuration management tools, such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet (an asset);
• Experience with other cloud platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud (an asset);
• Have experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper? V (an asset).
