Job Description

A Yard Driver is responsible for the safe operation of company commercial vehicles in the Domino’s yard, including backing trailers to dock doors, shuttling tractors or trailers to alternate locations, repositioning trailers in the yard, and assisting the warehouse by unloading empty dough trays. They may also assist with backhauls and/or redeliveries.

Schedules Available:

• TUES-FRIDAY: 4:00 am - 2:30 pm
• SAT-MONDAY: 12-hour shifts, starting at 4 am or 6 am
• SUNDAY-THURSDAY: 8:00 pm - 4:30 am

Pay:

$26.00/hr

Responsibilities and Duties

70% Coordinate, drive, and park tractors and trailers

• Inspect the yard for vehicle defects and communicate findings to management
• Follow all safety and operational policies, including chocking, safety cones, and dock signal lights
• Complete all safety checks required by Domino’s and legal standards
• Obtain tractor and trailer lists, record odometer and engine hours, ensure trailers are within temperature parameters, and dock/move trailers as needed
• Assist with unloading trailers, reposition tractors and trailers, shuttle equipment, and coordinate trailer washing and cleaning
• Assist with backhauls and deliver products to Domino’s stores as part of a team
• Represent the Domino’s brand by following uniform standards and PPE requirements
• Attend safety meetings, team meetings, and training sessions
• Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and delivery standards

30% Paperwork and Other Duties

• Ensure PPE and tools are loaded prior to dispatch
• Complete safety tests and comply with transportation regulations
• Maintain logs of driving activities and take responsibility for assigned trucks and loads
• Complete all required paperwork, including DVCR, Trip Sheets, and Load Assessments
• Assist with warehouse duties as needed and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid AZ License
• 6 months of verifiable CMV driving experience (1 year preferred)
• Knowledge of transportation rules and HOS regulations
• Good knowledge of Canadian geography and route coordination skills
• Mechanical repair knowledge is an asset
• Attention to detail, proactive attitude, team-oriented, safety-minded
• Available to work flexible shifts, any time during a 24-hour period

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds occasionally
• Perform heavy pushing/pulling, balance on ladders, and work in refrigerated or extreme temperatures, indoors and outdoors
• Work around yeast and flour
