Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee vehicle condition and inspect brakes, tires, lights, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs as needed.
• Pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections; oversee all vehicle aspects.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Tarp cargo and ensure cargo safety and security.
