Job summary

Green Infrastructure Partners Inc. (GIP) is seeking an AZ Triaxle & Tag Driver for a full-time seasonal role at our Morrisburg division.

You will operate a triaxle dump truck with a tag trailer, haul asphalt and aggregates, secure loads, and perform equipment maintenance on construction sites in southeast Ontario. Applicants should have an AZ license with a clean abstract, CVOR knowledge, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Valid AZ license with clean abstract required.
  • Experience operating a dump truck and loading equipment.
  • Training in load security and CVOR knowledge.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate independently.

Responsibilities

  • Operate AZ triaxle dump truck with a tag trailer.
  • Haul aggregate and asphalt to project sites and quarries.
  • Chase and secure loads for safe transport.
  • Perform equipment loading/unloading and routine maintenance.
  • Work diverse shifts with potential overnight stays when required.

Job description

Come help build the future, where our work makes the world work! GIP with over 50 years of expertise in vertically integrated heavy civil infrastructure and development projects is hiring an AZ Triaxle & Tag Driver full-time seasonal position for our Morrisburg Division.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operation of triaxle dump truck pulling a tag trailer
  • Able to haul both aggregate and asphalt
  • Floating various types of asphalt and construction equipment including pavers, rollers, shoulder spreaders to the company’s construction projects and quarries located in south east Ontario
  • Loading and unloading of equipment onto the float trailer
  • Chaining and securing the loaded equipment for transportation
  • General maintenance and visual inspection of equipment, truck and trailer
  • Cleaning of the truck and trailers and other equipment as necessary
  • Shifts are typically days with an early start Monday to Friday but must be willing and able to work flexible hours, nights and weekends
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid A Drivers License; AZ with a clean abstract
  • Experience operating a dump truck and floating equipment
  • Experience operating equipment to be able to load it
  • Load security training
  • Basic knowledge of CVOR requirements
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours and weekends and occasional over night stays away from home
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from our Morrisburg yard site
  • Able to follow directions and work independently in a busy environment
  • Physically fit; Ability to lift 50 pounds
WHAT WE OFFER

Expected Base Salary: $30 - $32.13 per hour. The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity and work location.
