Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. seeks an AZ Tractor Trailer Driver to operate tractor-trailer trucks on assigned routes, hauling open top/walking floor wood trailers between sites with safety as a priority.

Requires AZ license with clean abstract and CVOR, 3+ years of commercial driving, and the ability to safely operate heavy trucks and hydraulic packers. Early starts and overtime may be needed; competitive pay and full benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and complete daily reports.
• Report any vehicle mechanical problems to supervisor or mechanic immediately.

Job Summary

At GFL, the AZ Tractor Trailer Driver will operate tractor-trailer trucks on assigned route to service customers in a safe and efficient manner. The Driver will be hauling open top/walking floor trailers of wood.

Requirements

• Licensing: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (AZ) with a clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR.


• Driving Experience: Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience (or completion of an accredited truck driving school program).


• Equipment Operation: Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy commercial collection vehicles and hydraulic packer systems.


• Safety Commitment: Ability to successfully satisfy all company standards for safety-sensitive operational roles.


• Reliability: Strong attendance record and flexibility to support early morning start schedules and operational overtime when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer truck on assigned route to haul trailers of wood from site to site.


• Ensure all wood is emptied out of the trailer when dumping a load.


• Provide CSR with each trailer number after the load is dumped and net weight.


• Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety lane inspections and reports, daily truck report, route sheets and other documentation requested by supervisor daily.


• Communicate vehicle mechanical problems to mechanic and supervisor immediately.
