Contrans Vrac in Woodstock, ON is seeking a full-time Company Driver for Canada/US routes. You will handle pre-trip inspections, loading and unloading bulk materials, tarping, and trailer maintenance, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have an AZ license, CVOR and a clean driving record, and can work in a fast-paced environment across border crossings. Heavy haul experience or long-haul over-the-road experience is preferred; pre-employment drug testing is required.

Formación

• Must be physically fit to perform trailer climbing and lifting tasks.
• Must be able to lift 20–25 kg per load.
• Minimum 1 year heavy haul experience or 3 years over-the-road experience.
• AZ license, clean CVOR and driving record required.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform pre-trip inspections and document defects.
• Load and unload bulk and dump products.
• Tarps trailer and ensure secure loads.
• Clean trailers after unloading and inspect equipment.
• Handle cross bows on top of trailers and general trailer maintenance.
• Drive on Canada/US routes and manage border crossings as needed.
• Interact with dispatch, safety, and maintenance teams.

• Type: Full Time - Single - Company Driver
• Route: Canada/US
• Openings: 3

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pre-trip inspections(Involve walking, bending, lifting and releasing the kingpin from the fifth wheel, approximately 50 pounds pulling force and winding dolly legs up or down, approximately 10 pounds force on the crank)
• Loading and off loading Bulk / Dump products
• Tarping (Opening and closing the trailer tarp on dump trailers, approximately15 pounds force twisting the tarp crank to open and up to 60 pounds pulling to close)
• Cleaning Trailers out (Sweeping the trailer after unloading – climbing,bending and walking.)
• Cleaning Trailers with Frozen product in side
• Removal of cross bows along the top of trailer (Requires hammer to removeall 10 cross bows)
• Climbing in and out of the tractor (approximately but not limiting to 2-4times daily)
• Driving (Driving can vary between 1 to 4 hours sitting and shifting thetransmission)
• Walking on uneven ground at different facilities while loading and off loading
• Dealing with Malfunctioning equipment (Trailer doors could get stuck,Trailer bows not easily coming out, issues with trapping system that may need extra force)
• Knowledge of axle weights
• Safe operation of equipment

Employment Requirements:

• Must be physically fit to climb 12’ in & out of dump trailers, approximately but not limiting to 2-4 times daily
• Must be able to lift 20 to 25 kg’s of material in & out of trailers, approximately but not limiting to 2-4 times daily
• Must be able to cross various borders between Canada and the U.S Minimum of 1 years heavy haul experience
• Or 3 years over the road experience Licenses / Certificates: AZ license
• Qualifications / Skills: Good CVOR and good Drivers Abstract
• We require a pre employment drug and alcohol testing.
