Job summary

Contrans Vrac is seeking an AZ licensed End Dump Tandem Company Driver to join our fleet. The role involves cross-border Canada/US routes, load securement, tarp operations, and trailer maintenance.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, loading/unloading bulk and frozen products, cross-border duties, and completing all required paperwork. You will work with dispatch, customers, safety, and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit to climb in/out of dump trailers multiple times daily.
• AZ license and strong highway cross-border driving experience required.
• Clean driving record with CVOR and Driver's Abstract preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-trip inspections and basic trailer checks.
• Loading and unloading bulk/dump products.
• Tarping dump trailers and securing loads.
• Cleaning trailers and removing equipment debris.
• Handling cross bows and trailer components.
• Drive 1–4 hours daily, operate transmissions, and monitor equipment.
• Complete paperwork, logbooks, and trip envelopes.
• Interact with dispatch, customers, safety, and maintenance teams.

Job description

• Type: Full Time - Single - Company Driver
• Route: Canada/US
• Openings: 3

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pre-trip inspections(Involve walking, bending, lifting and releasing the kingpin from the fifth wheel, approximately 50 pounds pulling force and winding dolly legs up or down, approximately 10 pounds force on the crank)
• Loading and off loading Bulk / Dump products
• Tarping (Opening and closing the trailer tarp on dump trailers, approximately15 pounds force twisting the tarp crank to open and up to 60 pounds pulling to close)
• Cleaning Trailers out (Sweeping the trailer after unloading – climbing,bending and walking.)
• Cleaning Trailers with Frozen product in side
• Removal of cross bows along the top of trailer (Requires hammer to removeall 10 cross bows)
• Climbing in and out of the tractor (approximately but not limiting to 2-4times daily)
• Driving (Driving can vary between 1 to 4 hours sitting and shifting thetransmission)
• Walking on uneven ground at different facilities while loading and off loading
• Dealing with Malfunctioning equipment (Trailer doors could get stuck,Trailer bows not easily coming out, issues with trapping system that may need extra force)
• Knowledge of axle weights
• Safe operation of equipment

Employment Requirements:

• Must be physically fit to climb 12’ in & out of dump trailers, approximately but not
• limiting to 2-4 times daily
• Must be able to lift 20 to 25 kg’s of material in & out of trailers, approximately but not limiting to 2-4 times daily
• Must be able to cross various borders between Canada and the U.S Minimum of 1 years heavy haul experience
• Or 3 years over the road experience Licenses / Certificates: AZ license
• Qualifications / Skills: Good CVOR and good Drivers Abstract
• We require a pre employment drug and alcohol testing.
