GFL Environmental is seeking a G / DZ / AZ Commercial Box Truck Operator to join our expanding liquid team in Brantford. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high motivation, professionalism, and excellent customer service skills to foster positive customer relationships and promote GFL’s diverse service offerings.

  • Key Responsibilities :

    • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned trucks.
    • Complete daily routes as directed by the Operations Manager.
    • Provide exceptional on-site customer service and promote GFL’s services.
    • Operate a box truck, deliver products, and handle pickups of commercial wastes, including oil filters, plastics, drums of automotive fluids, and related products. Service parts washers and spray gun machines as needed.
    • Complete service paperwork following GFL and TDG regulations. Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of trucks and equipment.
    • Participate in safety programs, including safety meetings, risk assessments, and job hazard assessments.
    • Knowledge, Skills & Competencies :

    • Valid G / DZ / AZ Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
    • Ability to operate manual transmission (required).
    • Availability for full-time day shifts (8-10 hours).
    • Strong organizational skills, including task prioritization and multitasking.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Customer service experience.
    • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
    • Experience in safety-sensitive environments.
    • Willingness to work out of town, including potential overnight stays.
    • Flexible, dependable, and detail-oriented.
    • Ability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
    • Willing to work overtime as needed.
    • Physical ability to lift 75+ lbs.
    • Waste management experience is an asset.
