Job description

GFL Environmental is looking for a G / DZ / AZ Commercial Box Truck Operator to join our growing liquid team out of our Brantford location. The Commercial driver will require a high level of motivation, professionalism, and customer service skills, which will be used to consistently build positive customer relationships and promote GFL's wide range of service offerings.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Responsible for daily pre- and post-trip inspections of trucks assigned.
2. Complete daily routes as assigned by the Operations Manager.
3. Provide exceptional onsite service to customers and promote GFL's service offerings.
4. Operate a box truck to deliver products and pick up commercial wastes such as oil filters, plastics, drums of automotive fluids, and other related products. Also service parts washers and spray gun machines.
5. Complete service paperwork in accordance with GFL and TDG regulations. Ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of truck cab components and other assigned equipment.
6. Participate in GFL's safety programs, including safety meetings, risk assessments, and job hazard assessments.
7. Hold a G / DZ / AZ driver's license with a clean drivers abstract.
8. DZ / AZ ability to drive manual transmission (Required).
9. Available full-time for day shifts (8-10 hour shifts).
10. Demonstrate organizational skills, task prioritization, multitasking, and effective time management.
11. Able to work independently with a self-motivated attitude.
12. Experience working in a safety-sensitive environment.
13. Ability to work out of town and potentially overnight.
14. Dependable, flexible, with a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail.
15. Maintain professionalism in difficult situations.
16. Work overtime as required.
17. Manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
18. Waste management experience is an asset.
